Winter Trees and Forest Forms in Clay

Description

Celebrate the quiet beauty of winter trees through clay. This hand-building workshop blends nature observation with creative expression as you sculpt a tree form, or tree-inspired vase or lantern, using slab and coil techniques. You will learn how to design a sturdy structure and begin forming your tree-inspired piece. You will learn how to carve bark textures, add branches or root details, and decorate with underglaze. You'll finish with a single tree-inspired artwork to bring nature indoors.
