Looking Closely: The Art and Science of Fall Foliage

Description

Celebrate the vibrant colors of autumn by slowing down and observing fall foliage through the pages of a nature journal. In this hands-on workshop, we'll explore the beauty and science of fall leaves as we look closely at their shapes, patterns, and colors in The Nest and on our 125-acre wildlife sanctuary.

You’ll learn nature journaling techniques to capture the essence of fall foliage-including tips on page layout, composition, and combining words, numbers, and sketches to tell the full story of your observations. We will head out onto the sanctuary trails to put your new skills into practice and create your own journal pages surrounded by the beauty of fall.

No drawing experience is necessary-just bring your curiosity and love of nature!
