Looking Closely: The Art and Ecology of the Monarchs and Milkweed
Description
Monarch butterflies are one of nature's most amazing travelers-and a joy to watch fluttering through the September sky! In this workshop, we’ll dive into the special connection between monarchs and their host plant, milkweed, and discover how these beautiful insects play a vital role in our local ecosystem and in one of the greatest migrations in North America.
Join us at The Nest and on the 125-acre wildlife sanctuary as we explore the world of monarchs up close. Through guided nature journaling and drawing activities, you’ll learn how to capture monarch butterflies and milkweed in your nature journal. No drawing experience is needed-just bring your curiosity and love for nature!
