A Nature Year at MABA Education Center: Fall
Description
September through November brings some of the most compelling natural history of the year. This three-month series will give you dedicated time each month to explore it with an expert guide. Meeting at The Nest at the MABA Education Center, a skilled Mass Audubon naturalist leads each session around a distinct seasonal topic. We'll kick things off exploring September migrations, both in Monarch Butterflies and birds. As the season changes, we will take a closer look at fall colors, and mushrooms before wrapping up the season with oak trees, seed dispersal, and insect galls.
Sessions begin inside The Nest before heading out for 90 minutes of active field exploration, building natural history knowledge alongside a community of curious adult learners. Participants leave with a richer understanding of the landscape and a deeper connection to this remarkable sanctuary.
