Looking for a way to develop attention and observational skills in your little one while practicing creativity? Junior Nature Journal Club brings children and their adults together on the trails and in the studio to observe, sketch, and write about what they experience every month. Structured journal sheets guide families through techniques like shading, texture, color blending, and observation, making each session approachable for first-time journalers and rewarding for those who want to go deeper. All materials are provided.

Park in the gravel parking lot and then follow the paved path to The Nest building. All materials will be provided, though you are welcome to bring your own favorite journaling and drawing materials. All children must be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of the program.
