Description
Join us for a day-long excursion to Cuttyhunk Island in the renowned Elizabeth Island chain as we search for migrating birds!
On a privately chartered vessel, the trip will leave from Falmouth Harbor for an hour-and-a-half cruise through Vineyard Sound, Buzzards Bay and along the Elizabeth Islands. Shipboard commentary will focus on landmarks, geology, wildlife and the history of these quiet, protected islands.
We'll spend the rest of our time on Cuttyhunk enjoying the quaint village and harbor while exploring for migratory songbirds, watching from Lookout Hill for passing raptors, and searching for shorebirds. Cuttyhunk is an incredible hotspot to see birds during the fall migration! The terrain on the island is hilly but we will be walking on mostly hard pack trails. Expect to walk 3-4mi at a slow pace.
