Description
Think winter is a slow season for birds on Cape Cod? Think again.
Ducks, loons, and grebes crowd the open water throughout the winter and into early spring. A Long Pasture naturalist will get you close to them, beginning at the sanctuary and continuing wherever the birding is best that morning.
Learn to identify these winter visitors by their shape, posture, and behavior, and discover how they depend on the Cape's rich coastal habitats.
