Description
Long Pasture after sunset belongs to a different cast of characters, and the owls are the stars of the show.
Walk with an experienced naturalist through the sanctuary's fields and wooded edges as the light fades, tuning your ears and eyes to the distinctive calls and behaviors of Great Horned Owls and Eastern Screech-owls. Learn what owl life histories and adaptations tell us about the health of the habitats they depend on, and how conservation efforts on Cape Cod are supporting thriving owl populations.
Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but the naturalists know where to look. Total distance is less than 1.5 miles at an easy, comfortable pace.
