Description
Low-tide on Cape Cod is the perfect time to search for the mysterious and ancient horseshoe crab, a species that dates back 400 million years! Guided by a Mass Audubon naturalist, carefully explore the sandy flats at with your family and friends, while learning about their behavior, biology, and conservation!
Be a citizen scientist for a day and engage in horseshoe crab tagging; an important tool to help us understand and help this special creature which faces serious challenges from habitat loss and growing pressure from human uses. This hands-on program is welcome to children and adults!

Please dress for the weather and wear shoes that can get wet and muddy. Participants must wear shoes throughout the program. Please arrive and check-in 10 minutes before the start of the program. This program includes sanctuary admission for the remainder of the day.
