Wildlife on Tap: Built for a Toad: How Restoring Wetlands Brings Wildlife Back
Description
The Wildlife on Tap lecture series at Cape Cod Beer is a special event each winter where attendees can learn about wildlife over some fine beverages. Each presenter in the series is an expert in their field.
Cape Cod's vernal pools are being brought back to life—one pool, one species, and one community at a time. This project blends cutting-edge wetland restoration with hands-on endangered species recovery, giving the Eastern Spadefoot toad a second chance where history erased its habitat. Along the way, students, volunteers, and scientists are transforming conservation from an abstract idea into something you can see, touch, and measure. Together, we're proving that restoring wetlands isn't just about water and wildlife—it's about reconnecting people to the landscapes that sustain them.
