Description
Join Gail Boyajian, internationally recognized artist, for four consecutive half-day sessions in this special Papier Mache workshop. The focus will be on shorebirds and sea birds.
Participants will make a life-sized (up to 10") bird of their choice using papier mache made from newspaper, paper bags, or other materials that will be provided. Color and markings can be done with paint, paper or pencil. Participants will have an opportunity to share what they learn or know about the bird that they choose.
Gail Boyajian is an artist and architect who has exhibited her paper mache birds regionally and her paintings internationally. Studying ecosystems and interconnected life forms, along with their various environmental challenges, informs all her projects.
This series is offered in partnership with Manship Artists Residency and Artists for the Great Marsh, at a reduced price thanks to a grant from the Great Marsh Artists program.
