Maine Winter Birdwatching

Description

Seabirds abound along the Maine coastline in winter. The birding begins along the rocky shores of Wells where we'll scan the mouth of the Webhannet River for various sea ducks, loons, and grebes. We’ll continue south along the coast to Nubble Light, and scan the horizon for Northern Gannets and rocky sea edges for Purple Sandpipers. In the afternoon we’ll visit the coves of Kittery, and check the ocean surface for alcids and beach edges for gulls.
