Duck, Duck, Goose - A search for Ducks and Geese in Essex County
Description
Many species of ducks, geese, and swans (collectively known as waterfowl) migrate and have returned to our area from their northern breeding grounds. During this field trip, which will take us to Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Cherry Hill Reservoir, Merrimack River, and Salisbury Beach State Reservation, we will focus on waterfowl, but of course, leaders will stop for anything interesting.

Instructions
Meet at Joppa Flats Education Center. From there we will travel by Mass Audubon vans and carpool.
Bring binoculars, a field guide to birds, and a scope if you have one. Wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and potentially muddy trails. Participants should expect to walk trails with moderate terrain changes at a slow pace, for a mile or more.
