Introduction to Education Volunteering: Challenges on the Coast
Description
Education volunteers help staff present programs to schools, groups, and families. This session focuses on sensitive subjects like sea level rise, coastal erosion and salt marsh resliency. We will take you out into the salt marsh and onto the sandy beach to learn about the flora and fauna, water sampling techniques, erosion and weathering and and birds. The group will also discuss how climate change is affecting our coastline on Plum Island.
