The Wonder and the Wow: Great Blue Heron Rookery

Description

Why should kids have all the fun? In each session we'll go on a different outdoor excursion with plenty of time to examine, discuss, and compare our findings. You'll want your camera, binoculars, and a sense of adventure for these guided walks and cruises from a naturalist's perspective.

Crane Pond provides a rich habitat for beavers, muskrat and Great Blue Herons. Learn about the courtship and nesting behaviors of spring wildlife on this walk as we look for early warblers, waterfowl and passerines.
