Birding the Coastal Coves of Cape Ann

Description

Gloucester and Rockport are among the best late-winter birding spots in the state, if you know where to look.

Leave the navigation to us and spend a day along the scenic Cape Ann coast looking for a good diversity of sea ducks, grebes, and loons. Watch for specialties like Barrow's Goldeneye and Iceland Gull and keep an eye on the open water for alcids such as Black Guillemot, Razorbill, murres, and Dovekie.

These are birds most people never get to see from shore, which makes this day worth the trip.
