The Wonder and the Wow: Coastal Winter Wildlife

Description

Scan the Salisbury coast for sea ducks, loons, and harbor seals, and keep an eye out for Snowy Owls and Bald Eagles.

On the field trip, learn to read birds on the water by how high or low they sit and how they behave, find out how harbor seals stay comfortable through a New England winter, and walk the beach collecting shells, egg cases, and exoskeletons to find out what once lived inside them.

Warm up in the van between stops while sharing observations and conversation.

Checking registration status.
