New Year's Day Birdwatching

Description

Start the year off by celebrating the beauty of winter and its birds.

Explore a variety of coastal habitats around Newburyport including Plum Island and the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge searching for waterfowl, loons, grebes, alcids, gulls and birds of prey.

Throughout the program, experienced guides explain bird identification and behavior, giving you the skills to go off birding on your own. You'll also walk away with a better understanding of how climate change and land conservation impact what birds we see and when.

Birdwatchers of every skill level are welcome.
