Description
Perched along the Atlantic Flyway, Marblehead Neck Wildlife Sanctuary has a well-earned reputation as a migrant trap: a compact 18-acre pocket of wetland and deciduous forest where birds stop to rest and refuel, funneled in by the peninsula's geography. On the right October morning, the diversity of species passing through is remarkable.
This guided walk introduces you to the sanctuary's layout and best birding spots while helping you identify the warblers, vireos, and thrushes that move through in fall.
