Go on a Family Whale Watch

Description

The feeding grounds of Massachusetts Bay are home to Humpback Whales, Dolphins, Harbor Seals, and a rich variety of ocean life that most people never get the chance to see up close.

On this afternoon whale watch, Joppa Flats staff helps you spot and identify the marine mammals and seabirds along the way, sharing navigational charts, nature guides, and the stories behind what you're seeing as the boat travels from the harbor to the open sea.

Learn about whale behaviors—diving, breaching, belly rolls—and discover the conservation challenges these animals face, from the effects of climate change to the impact of human activity in the Atlantic. Whether or not you've been on a whale watch before, having a knowledgeable naturalist by your side truly enhances the experience.

This cruise is operated in partnership with Newburyport Whale Watch. The vessel features state-of-the-art electronics, life-saving equipment, a climate-controlled cabin, and cash galley serving food and beverages.
