Breeding Birds of Plum Island

Description

Search for birds that have traveled thousands of miles from Central and South America that make Parker River National Wildlife Refuge their summer home. With binoculars in hand we'll walk a variety of coastal habitats that attract a wide range of birds including Willet, Salt Marsh Sparrow, Piping Plover, Orchard Oriole, Eastern Kingbird, and so many more.

Instructions

Meets at Joppa Flats for van transportation. Bring a snack, water, bug spray, binoculars, and a field guide to birds. Wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and potentially muddy trails. Participants should expect to walk trails with moderate terrain changes at a slow pace, for a mile or more.
