Homeschool: Great Blue Herons

Description

Great Blue Herons are careful observers, fast movers, and are vital to their habitat. This group is for our students ages 9 to 12 who will hike farther, learn more complex natural history concepts, and do more challenging projects.

How does a wild animal survive during our cold and hungry New England winters? How can we learn from them and develop our own outdoor winter survival skills? Come find out though firsthand observations of wildlife, exploration of the winter landscape, and practice with real outdoor skills. Expect to learn skills such as building shelters with minimal materials, tracking wildlife with game-cameras, and careful observation of winter birds.

* If needed, we will have a make-up class on February 25th.

Checking registration status.
