Description
Visit local hot spots in search of owls on this cool evening adventure. During the winter months, owls vocalize as they seek out nesting locations with prospective mates. Travel in vans to a salt marsh site in search of Short-eared Owls and possibly an early Great Horned Owl. Then head to Ipswich for a sandwich and hot drink before visiting other locations known for resident owls. We will call and listen for Eastern Screech-Owls, Barred Owls, Saw-whet Owls, or Great Horned Owls while studying the habitats favored by these nocturnal birds.
