Description
As daylight fades, uncover the mysteries of the night with a guided search for owls. Start just outside the visitor center to look at samples of owl wings, skulls, talons, and feathers, learning about the adaptations that make them master nocturnal hunters. Learn the tips and tricks of how to find and identify them, then head out into the fields and forests at dusk to look and listen for our resident Barred, Great Horned, and Eastern Screech-owls.
The paths we take will be mostly flat but may be uneven, have jutting rocks, roots, puddles and mud. We will be walking in low-light conditions.
