Description
There's so much more to bats than their spooky reputation! There are 9 species of bats in Massachusetts, 5 of which are endangered. Learn about why these special creatures matter, how to support them in your neighborhoods, and which species are flapping around above our heads as we walk around the sanctuary. Using a special piece of technology created by Wildlife Acoustics, we will be able to pick up their ultrasonic calls and accurately identify the species around us.

Please dress accordingly for the weather. Bringing a refillable water bottle and bug spray is recommended. Most of the terrain will be flat. Tree roots, rocks and puddles may be in the paths we take.
