Ipswich River Nature Preschool Summer Program: Pollinators and Nature Art

The Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary is proud to offer our nature preschool for 3-7 year olds located at the Endicott Wildlife Sanctuary in Wenham. Launched in September 2015, our nature preschool features highly qualified teachers with backgrounds in early childhood and nature education and a nature-based, emergent curriculum which promotes language, math, and social development. At Ipswich River Nature Preschool, we believe that a child learns best when exposed to nature on a consistent basis. Through multi-sensory explorations and cooperative play, our nature-based program nurtures each child's inborn curiosity.

Every summer our gardens comes alive with pollinator friendly flowers that are a source of food for bees, butterflies, and other winged creatures. At Pollinators and Nature Art Week, we will gain first-hand knowledge of the life cycles of our flying friends and their relationships to the plants in our vegetable and flower gardens. We will also draw, paint and work with natural materials as we are inspired by the beauty of pollinators and flowering plants.
