Description
Walk the sanctuary under a nearly full moon and listen to spring switch on. Wood Frogs and Spring Peepers start calling from the wetlands around now, and on a mild, damp night salamanders and frogs cross the forest floor to reach their vernal pools. Your naturalist helps you spot the signs of wildlife coming out of winter and explains why these temporary pools matter so much to amphibians.
Moonlight, mud, and a chorus of frogs add up to a very different sanctuary than the one you see by day.
