Description
For a few short weeks at the end of winter the sap runs and the sugarhouse fires up. This morning, you and your toddler get a behind-the-scenes peek at how it works.
Walk a short loop with stops along the way to seek out sugar maple trees, learn how the trees are tapped, and discover how sap becomes syrup. Then step inside the sugarhouse to see the evaporator at work and taste syrup made right here at the sanctuary.
The whole season lasts only a few weeks, which makes this a sweet, once-a-year morning for the youngest visitors.
