Tracking Mammals in Winter

Description

Walk the woodlands and wetlands of Ipswich River and learn to read the clues left behind: tracks in snow or mud, chewed twigs, scat, scrapes, and trails worn through the brush.

A trained naturalist connects each sign to the animal that left it, covering the habits of the squirrels, coyotes, deer, and beavers that live here year-round. Snow helps, but it is not required, because good trackers find plenty of animal evidence either way.

You will leave with the skills to make every winter walk you take from here on a lot more interesting.
