Chickadees: Winter Homeschool Series for Young Explorers
Description
Over six Wednesday mornings, you and your four- or five-year-old will hunt for the sights, sounds, and even tastes that show up at Ipswich River in the coldest months.
Together, hike in the woods, find and build animal homes, watch the birds that stay all winter, and track how the trees change as the days grow shorter. Each session builds on the last, so by February you will both know this place in winter the way few visitors do.
An adult stays with their child for the whole series, which makes this a shared discovery rather than drop-off.

What To Expect
Each session includes time outdoors, so dress in warm layers and wear sturdy, waterproof footwear. More details on what to bring and expect will be emailed to you ahead of the program.
