Description
Red-tailed Hawks are built for keen observation, quick thinking, and covering serious ground, all qualities this homeschool series encourages in its students.
Designed for children ages 6-8, this eight-session fall series at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary introduces the fundamentals of ecology through the lens of wild superheroes: the plants and animals around us with extraordinary adaptations for surviving and thriving. Students will investigate population dynamics through outdoor games, build wooden boats with natural materials, and collect and observe amphibians and insects along the sanctuary trails.
Each Wednesday builds on the last as the group grows in both knowledge and connection to the sanctuary.
