Description
The Ipswich River is full of creatures most people never notice, and this toddler program brings them right to the surface.
After a reading of Under the Pond by Kate Messner inside the Nature Center, take a short walk to the river's edge, where small nets and collection cups make it possible to catch and look closely at tadpoles, water bugs, snails, and other tiny aquatic neighbors.
It's the kind of program that turns an ordinary walk to the water into something surprising and gives young children real scientific tools to explore the natural world around them.
