Description
Canoe the Ipswich River under the light of the full moon and see what makes this river come alive after dark. As the light dims and the river takes on a silver glow, watch for ducks, herons, and bats overhead while muskrats and beavers go about their evening routines along the banks.
After dark, owls begin to call from the trees, and the whole nocturnal landscape comes into focus in a way that's impossible to replicate during daylight. Some prior canoeing experience is helpful; before you launch, your instructor will guide everyone through the basics of canoe safety and paddle technique, so the whole family feels confident on the water.
The river's calm conditions make this a wonderful, shared adventure for families eager to discover the night.
