Description
As the work week ends, the Ipswich River is just getting interesting. This evening canoe paddle drifts through the river's quiet stretches as dusk settles in, with ducks and herons flying overhead, bats cutting through the air after insects, and the possibility of a beaver, muskrat, or otter gliding past your bow.
Once the sun has set, the river shifts into its nocturnal mode: owls call from the forest and the sounds of nature take over completely. The paddle includes a stop on one of the river islands for a campfire and snacks, a perfect way to cap an evening spent entirely in the natural world. Some prior canoeing experience is helpful; all equipment is provided.
