Description
Usually, the only opportunity Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary visitors have to observe Virginia Rail, Sora, or Least Bittern, is from a distant trail or boardwalk. Tonight, paddle through cattail marsh alongside the Ipswich River to look and listen for these secretive wetland species. We're also likely to encounter Marsh Wren, Swamp Sparrow, and Wood Duck. As the sun sets, we'll listen for Eastern Screech-Owl and Barred and Great Horned owls.
