Description
Join us for an afternoon of nature fun on days when schools release early. Each month, we'll focus on a different topic as we explore Habitat's forests and ponds. We’ll use field tools like nets and binoculars to observe the life all around us outdoors, and take a closer look at leaves, feathers, and other finds with magnifiers and microscopes. With nature’s wonders as our inspiration, we’ll get creative with arts and crafts to take home.
Sessions are grouped by theme, but each will include new activities and areas to visit. You may sign up for as many sessions as you like.
- Sessions 9/17 & 9/24: Explore ponds and meadows with nets to discover the critters that live in each habitat.
- Session 10/8 & 10/22: Learn about the forest from canopy to soil and why leaves change in the fall.
- Session 11/5 & 11/19: Take a closer look at nature using magnifiers, microscopes, and binoculars.
- Session 12/10 & 12/17: Get inspired by the outdoors and use natural materials to create works of art.
