Description
Explore the wonders of nature in winter during February School Vacation Week!
Spend the day discovering which trees drop their leaves and which ones keep their needles, and what each strategy costs them. Hike through the sanctuary to find conifers and maples and try out their unique tastes! Try sap from a tapped maple tree, boil some down into syrup, and brew a warm pot of White Pine tea. Along the way, find out why trees are cornerstones of the ecosystem, how humans rely on forests, and in what ways a warming climate impacts this delicate system.
Please note: each day of vacation week requires a separate registration. To sign up for all sessions, please make sure to add all three days to your cart before completing your registration.
