Description
As the weather warms, birds flock back to Massachusetts with vivid plumage and fill the air with their sounds. Discover the birds of the season with three monthly sessions, each focusing on a species or topic indicative of the time of year. Catch the first waves of spring migration coming through, learn to pick birds out by song once the new leaves make them tricky to see, and close the season with the colorful array warblers. You will build your field identification skills, expand your knowledge of bird behavior and conservation needs, and connect with a community of fellow birders.
We will always begin with a short introduction indoors before heading out to explore the trails with our naturalists as your guide. You'll observe these birds and their habitats in the wild, use field guides, look at specimens up close, and more.
