A Nature Year at Habitat: Spring Series (3 Months)
Description
Immerse yourself in the natural history of spring!
This monthly series guides you through the cycles of the season, with each session focusing on a different topic. Sketch the shapes and colors of the sanctuary as it awakens from winter, investigate the earliest signs of spring, and dig into the small lives flourishing beneath rocks and logs. You will build your knowledge of different ecosystems and wildlife behaviors, form community with like-minded adults, develop a lasting connection to the landscape, and learn about the conservation practices being done to protect it.
Each session begins with a brief introduction inside before spending at least 90 minutes exploring the trails, boardwalks, and varied habitats of the sanctuary. By the end of the season, you will be equipped to see the natural world in a richer light. There might be an occasional change in timing or topic depending on what nature provides.
