Winter Animal Detectives

Description

Where do all the animals go in the winter, and how do they stick it out through the cold? Become a winter wildlife detective with your family during vacation week as you uncover the strategies local animals use to make it through the season. Head out into the sanctuary to search for clues, from tracks in the snow and scat on the trail to twigs nibbled by hungry deer. Each sign tells a story about who's been here, even when you might not see the animal itself.

By the end of the afternoon, you'll have the skills to read the winter woods and spot signs of wildlife on your next walk.
