Description
Where do animals go when winter arrives? From cozy underground burrows to nests in hollow logs, find out where wildlife hides to stay warm and rest safely through the season.
Start with free play at stations themed around animal homes like sensory bins, puzzles, sorting games, and coloring. Gather for a storybook and sing songs as you learn where all the local animals are hiding. Then, head outside to look for the real thing! Along the way, gather sticks, bark, and leaves to build a tiny mouse house of your own, imagining what a mouse needs to make it through a chilly January.
This is an opportunity to get your young explorer excited about the outdoors in a playful, relaxed setting while connecting with other caregivers.
