Description
In October, the meadow is alive with a symphony of buzzing, chirping, and humming. Start with meadow-themed free play like sensory bins, puzzles, and coloring, then join in on the song by picking up some simple instruments and making your own music.
Afterwards, head out to explore the meadow with sweep nets and magnifiers, observing the insects and other creatures living there. Find out which ones are creating the sounds around you and what they need to thrive in the habitats right outside your door.
This adventure is the perfect opportunity for curious preschoolers and their adults to spend time together as they discover the natural world.

Meet in the Nature Center. This program has both indoor and outdoor components. Dress for the expected weather and wear comfortable footwear suitable for walking on trails. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray.
