Description
Become a change-maker and tackle environmental challenges head-on! Examine what it takes to design and lead real-world environmental impact projects. Build your leadership and ecological stewardship skills while learning how to address climate change through practical adaptation and mitigation strategies.
This session of Teen Stewardship Leaders is focused on data gathering and impact assessment, the foundational step in any climate action plan. You'll walk Drumlin Farm’s trails, explore working farm fields, and learn directly from our livestock, crops, and property teams about how they put climate-smart practices into action. From native habitats and vegetable plots to barns and compost systems, you'll gain a firsthand look at how sustainability is woven into our daily operations to create a more climate-resilient future.
With support from an experienced mentor, you and your team will interview staff, analyze current practices, and brainstorm meaningful projects based on real-world insights. This experience will provide you with a strong framework for understanding and approaching climate resilience projects wherever your passion leads you next.
