Description
Become a change-maker and learn how to tackle environmental challenges head-on! In this session, you'll design your very own stewardship projects tailored to our farm and wildlife sanctuary or your community. Participants will work as a team and individually to create detailed action plans for practical, achievable projects that work towards climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Example projects could look like creating an "invasives field guide" to hand out to visitors so they can look for invasive plants in their yards and around their communities or writing a script to read at a town hall meeting to advocate for changes in the community; your creativity and interests drive the topics.
After we share our plans, we will take a walk around the sanctuary to gather inspiration from nature for a collaborative art project. Tackling environmental issues can bring up a range of 'eco-emotions,' and we will explore and express these feelings through our art.
