Description
Grab your binoculars and join fellow teen nature enthusiasts for a birding adventure at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge on the North Shore, one of the best birding spots in the region! Trek across boardwalks overlooking sandy beaches and salt marshes and meander through wooded trails, all of which attract an incredible variety of bird species, especially during migration season.
Keep your eyes peeled for waterfowl like Northern Pintails and Long-tailed Ducks, raptors like Northern Harriers and Bald Eagles, and shorebirds like Dunlin and White-rumped Sandpipers. We'll also scan the waves for Red-throated Loons and Northern Gannets and tune our ears for the songs of Purple Finches and White-crowned Sparrows.
