Teen Birders: Meadows to Wetlands

Description

The grassland, wetland, and forest of Massport Trails and Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge provide a wealth of wonderful habitats for both nesting and migrating bird species.We hope to see American Kestrels, Field Sparrows, Palm Warblers, Brown Thrashers, Wood Ducks, Marsh Wrens, Bald Eagles, Hermit Thrushes, and more!

Instructions

Van transportation from Drumlin Farm and back will be provided. Please drop off at Drumlin Farm at 7:30am and pick up at 1:30 pm.

Bring water for a 3-4 mile walk, a bag lunch or snacks, and binoculars if you have them (loaner pairs on request). There will be restrooms available at Drumlin Farm and we will stop along the way if needed.

All participants must complete the health/emergency contact form included in your welcome email at least one week before the program begins. Please wear footwear appropriate for short water crossings.
