A Nature Year at Drumlin Farm and Broadmoor: Spring (3 Months)

Description

Immerse yourself in a season of local natural history, where every month brings something worth stepping outside for. Rotating between Drumlin Farm and Broadmoor wildlife sanctuaries, a Mass Audubon naturalist will guide you through spring seasonal phenomena, from the first thaw to vernal pools to bird nesting season.

Each session begins with a brief introduction before heading out for at least 90 minutes in the field, exploring diverse habitats as you form community with other adult nature enthusiasts. By the end of the season, you'll be equipped with the knowledge to see the natural world in a richer light. There might be an occasional change in timing or topic depending on what nature provides.

Session Topics:

  • March 19: Thaw Phenomenon at Drumlin Farm
