Backyard Sugaring

Description

Take a flavorful journey through the storied and sugary history of maple syrup.

Follow the age-old tradition of turning sap into syrup from tree tap to table. Watch how it's made with traditional methods, getting a hands-on look (and taste) at each step of the process.

Learn about the short window of freezing nights and thawing days that makes it all happen, and how a warming climate is reshaping the New England sugaring season. Immerse yourself in the sights, scents, and tastes of late winter in the woods and leave with a newfound appreciation for this sweet New England staple.
