Description
Winter may look quiet, but the landscape is far from still. Take an early-morning excursion through the sanctuary with a naturalist to investigate the stories hidden in bare branches, animal tracks, and the surprising insects that stay active in the cold.
Learn to identify trees without their leaves, follow the trails left behind by wildlife, look for the earliest hints of spring, and understand what makes the New England environment adapted for winter. Come away with a sharper eye for the season and a clearer sense of why a healthy winter matters for all living things.
