Warm and Woolly

Description

Deep winter is the perfect time to get cozy with Drumlin Farm's flock! Visit the sheep barn to meet our woolly residents and help the farmer serve up their hay, learning just what it takes to keep these animals warm and well fed through the coldest stretch of the year.

Then dive into the crafty side of wool by trying your hand at carding and processing raw fiber until it is silky smooth and ready for spinning. Step by step, you'll find out how wool travels from a sheep's back to everyday items like sweaters, rugs, and blankets. Make your own wool craft to take home as a cozy keepsake.
